Weekly Podcast Roundup - September 29

Not going to lie, this week has felt very, very long and my ears are still full after listening to a good portion of Thursday’s Senate hearing with Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh. If you haven’t listened to that (or the Senate proceedings that would make permanent the tax cuts that was happening the same day) then you should go listen for yourself.

But that is not why I’m here, let’s talk podcasts!

Dishing Disney - Mulan

I found a new Disney podcast this week! Not going to lie, there have been a lot of negative vibes in the Disney Parks community lately and this podcast was the perfect way to get my dose of Disney. These hosts talk about all sorts of things related to Disney animation and they do a deep-dive episode on each movie. I listened to their Mulan episode and it was fun to relive the movie through them.

Stuff You Missed in History Class - Mindy Johnson and the Women of Disney, Pt. 1

So I’ve heard about this book on a few other Disney podcasts but this interview with Mindy Johnson is really great and I just love hearing about the role women played in early animation. It’s a great listen and Part 2 is out already!

BibRave Podcast - #110: Is Running Bad for Your Knees?

The team talks about pain with Dr. Zack McCormick, an expert in orthopaedic surgery. They touch on injury and how running and aging affects the body and why it’s important to really understand the pain you may be feeling. It’s not just about knees.

That’s it for this week! What are you listening to?
